THE CRITICS RAVED!
Janet Tenery
Taking all into consideration, we have a rare group! One that is nostalgic, still loves ”oldies but goodies,” has lots of stories to tell of the best times of our lives and still enjoys the pleasure of each other's company.
We were born and raised during a great era, in a unique place, with special people around us, allowing us to forget the bad times, since the good times were so good! We had no crime, could say our prayers in school, ride our bikes and later drive without a worry. We all looked out for one another, and we even loved one another.
We realized we did then and we still do. Our differences get smaller They somehow don't really matter.
We are blessed, we the Class of '62.

It was such an exciting fun-filled weekend. I loved every minute of the different events. The organization of the weekend was very well planned, which I was most impressed with.
Looking forward to our next reunion.

One note cannot thank you enough for all the time and effort you gave toward our Homecoming Reunion. Everyone thought it was terrific but not everyone knew what happened months prior to it.

The 30th reunion of the Class of '62 - who would have thought it would get here so soon! From planning ”parties,” the parade and after-game party on Friday night at Lois', the photo session on Saturday, to our great party on Saturday night, old friendships were renewed and memories were brought to mind. The Class of '62 can be proud - as I remember pictures taken and conversations I think of our accountants, preachers, attorneys, a fire- man, doctor's wife, preacher's wife, a mortician, a counselor in a DA's office, teachers, secretaries, politician's aide, bankers, salesmen, executives, commercial artist, coaches, real estate saleslady, engineers, military officer, a cowboy who owns a furniture store, semi-retired classmates and most of all friends. I'm proud to be a part of the group. It's easy to brag to my new friends about my old friends and their success.

On an extended fall weekend of near-perfect weather a most remarkable family reunion occurred. As with most families, there were those members who seem to keep up with the rest of the brood and become upset when contact with a member has been lost. The few cousins still living at the home place decide it's time to get together once again. Invitations are made, addresses updated and plans are made. With eager anticipation and even a certain amount of trepidation the date is awaited.
As with any modern family, the cousins are scattered far and wide, most you only see at these rare family get togethers. It is a diverse family with members representing the diversities of life. There have been problems and there have been happy times that each and every member has had since last the kids were all together. These do not matter as the important thing is to have all the family together again.
The tears and joys and shared times spent together as youths have built a bond of love, acknowledged or not, that will forever mold this collection of kids into the family. Any feelings of trepidation soon melt away as the knowledge that you are once again home and the love and spirit of family surrounds each and every member, regardless of successes or failures. All mantels of pretense are shed after a few hours as you again regain that feeling of the original family spirit and you recognize that you only have to be you.
The time is shared, old memories are revisited and catching up on what's happening now as the pressures of our normal world slowly dissolve and we are once again just family. The crazy uncle that can still make you laugh, the lovely aunt who never gets older, your favorite cousin - they are all there. It's a wonderful time, and you remember all those things that made you family to begin with.
The reunion ends, but is never really over. Every member carries away a fond memory of this special time and, above all, a renewed sense of love that has never left you, no matter how deeply it was buried before.
'Til our next reunion, I'll miss you all.
