Ann Armstrong Waller retired from TU Electric on November 1, 1992. She lives in Waxahachie with her husband, Charles, who is employed with TU Electric. They have two sons, Greg and Chris. Ann entered the hospital to give birth to both her sons on February 16, but they are fifteen years apart.
Bill Beaty is Marketing Director for Appraisal Software Co. He and his wife, Kaye, live in Waxahachie with their two children, Nicole and Trey.
Lee Ro Bell is Production Manager for Freeman Exhibit Co. He and is wife e, 7udy, have been married and lived in Duncanville twenty- seven years. They have a son, Jeff. Lee Roy and Judy recently took their first hot-air balloon ride over Lake Tahoe.
Don Branam and his wife, Lana, live in Whitehouse, Texas. Don teaches biology and coaches football at Chapel Hill High School. They have two children, Leah and LeAnn, and three grandchildren.
Ronnie Brown is an Ellis County Commissioner. He and his wife, Vickie, live in Red Oak. He has two daughters, Gyna and Lori, and a granddaughter, Tyler.
Renda Cagle Conder has been selling real estate in Waxahachie for twenty years. she nas two children Leslie and Dunne, and says she is single and loves it.
Mary Lou Castellanos Pesina and her husband, L. S., live in Carrollton. They have three children and two granddaughters. Mary Lou.is employed by Climate Supply Co., Inc. in Dallas.
Robert Clark is retired and lives in Hitchcock, Texas. He restored seven houses in Galveston that are recognized by the State Historical Commission. He owned and operated a successful flower shop and restored the 1884 Smith Mansion in Galveston and operated it as a bed and breakfast known as the Whitehorse Inn. He sold it in 1992 and retired.
Claire Crawford Burnett is an assistant to State Representative John Carona. She lives in Dallas and has two children, Brooke and Blake.
Lois Elliott Stroope and her husband, Jack, lived in Nebraska for several years before returning to Waxahachie. They have three children, Mark, John and Brandie, and six grandchildren. Lois is a secretary at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Lois and Jack are bridge and poker card sharks.
Carolyn Esselman Winkelmann lives in Waco with her husband of 27 years, Lee. They have two daughters and two grandsons. Carolyn is employed at Texas National Bank as a loan secretary
Steve Fincher manages a four-state sales office for a major defense manufacturer in Boston. They build radars and missile guidance systems. Steve's office is located in Richardson. He and his wife, Judy, live in Grand Prairie and have two sons. He listed as his most amusing anecdote in high school, ”watching a party to be un- named (Robert Thompson) fall out of a tree and hit the ground running when some guy looked out the same window he was peeking in at a local motel.”
Janet Forrest Jarratt Tenery and her husband, Rob, live in Dallas. Their son, Trey, and his wife, Wendy, are parents of Mason, the new Tenery grandson. Their daughter, Robyn, is a premed major at the University of Oklahoma. Janet's hobbies are photography, working on her computer and writing. Quoting the questionnaire Janet returned to us, ”An interesting observation, as Rob and I pass by our mirror, we see our parents. We have concluded that we can never have enough time, memory, or hair, in Rob's case. Two events have changed our family. Rob's dad passed away from emphysema due to smoking We all now try to lead healthier life styles. His illness made us understand what is really important in life - spending time with our family, working to help others, and realizing life is short. The birth of our grandson, Mason, has been a blessing for our family. We are amazed at how much fun it is to be grandparents and how God works in our lives to perform miracles.”
Dell Forrest Andrews is a fourth grade teacher in Waxahachie. She has three sons, Bill, John and Jeff. John was recently granted early acceptance to Rice University this fall.
Joyce Lynn Foster Lalle lives in Grapevine where she manages a dance school and teaches two-year-olds to dance has a bookkeeping service and is active in local community theater. Lynn has three children and one grandchild
Ray L. Gilbert is vice president and general manager of SPM, Inc. in Ft. Worth. He and his wife, Sally, have two children, Hollye, age 6, and Nicklas, age 3.
Joe Greenhill is vice president of Delta Strapping Corp. He and his wife, Sandi, live in Waxahachie. They have three children and three grandchildren.
Tommy Griffin is an accounts manager at DuPont Co. He and his wife, Wanda, live in Grapevine and have four children.
Dawn Harrison Harp is a self-employed CPA practicing in Arlington. She and her husband, William, have two children, William B., IV and Christina. Dawn's memories are more of embarrassing moments in high school - fear of having to read that ”certain paragraph” in Miss Donnell's biology class, ”snow jobs” and ”snow men” and the days it really snowed and school was let out so that we could spend the day walking around town and later sledding behind cars.
Daniel R. Henry is a CPA with his firm, Winborne I Henry, P.C. in Waxahachie ac He has two sons and a stepdaughter. Quoting the questionnaire he returned to us, ”after being divorced for ten years, I was lucky enough to marry the girl of my dreams” (Mary Jane Husted Henry).
Linda Henry Jeffries lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Linda has two daughters and is a victim advocate for the Maricopa County Prosecutor's Office. She works with victims of felony crimes and feels that she has one of the most interesting and rewarding jobs ever. Linda remembers not having a date for homecoming the year she was homeeoming queen.
Pat Howard Wilsford and her husband, W. R., after living in six diferent states, came home to Waxahachie, then the SSC took their home. Pat is quality control supervisor at Bandman. Bandnian made new uniforms for the WHS band, drill team and flag corps. Pat and W. R. have three children and two grandchildren. Pat remembers the time she was sick and out of school her freshman year when her brother told people that she had died. Mr. Dew turned white when she walked back into his class!
Bill Hughes and his wife, Susan, have just returned from a year in England where Bill was preaching. They have two sons, Casey and Jeff. He remembers from high school, ”one night in a grave yard, when I heard words I never had heard before, coming out of the mouths of Linda Mac, Julia Williams and Janet Forrest.”
Mary Jane Husted Henry is the official court reporter in the County Criminal Court of Appeals, Dallas County, Texas. She and her husband, Dan, live in Waxahachie. Mary Jane has a son, Stuart, daughter, Leah, and two stepsons, Jason and Braxton, and a daughter-in-law.
Jerry Hutchins and his wife, Freda, live in Denton. They have two daughters, Kristin and Amy. Kristin went to school in Paris, France, through Baylor University and speaks/majors in French and international affairs. She has a job in Paris with an exporting company which exports to the U. S. and Canada. Jerry sells athletic/student insurance through National Federation of State High School Association
Paula Hutchins Prather and her husband Wayne, have a daughter, Sandra, and son, Gregory. They live in Midlothian. Paula works for J. C. Penney in the invoice office - data processing and Wayne works for Paragon Distributing Co. in sales. They have been married for 28 years. They lived in South Bend, Indiana, for a few years, have worked in several different jobs (Paula owned her own ladies apparel shop), enjoyed life and have been very happy.
Phil Lerway and his wife, Linda, live in Austin where Phil is an attorney and partner in the firm of Pena & Lerway. They have two children, Wende, a UT graduate who recently married, and Adam, who started UT in August. Quoting from the questionnaire Phil returned to us, ”We survived. Survived the Army, law school, gerbils, mice, dogs, cats, 1 canary, boyfriends, girlfriends, learning to drive, homework, 'big' games, 'big' dances, lost election, meditation, college again, diets, exercise, high cholesterol (Phil, sic should be spelled cholesterol), surgery, Nixon, Carter, disco, camping, tubing, fleas, weeds, weird in-laws, weird neighbors, weird dreams, recessions, bell-bottoms, long hair, short hair, weird hair, ballet classes, Little League, home improvement projects, graduations, middle-of-the-night phone calls, the Beatles, Garth Brooks, and, oh yes, the Sixties!”
Linda McAdams Hall is escrow secretary for Transamerica Title Insurance Company and lives in Chandler, Arizona. She has two daughters and two grandchildren. Her youngest daughter will gra- duate from ASU in December. Linda remembers the same incident Bill Hughes does in a different way. Quoting from the questionnaire she returned to us, ”It wasn't amusing but was certainly memorable the infamous ride to the cemetery in Julia Williams' jeep! Those involved certainly remember.” Linda toured England and Germany this past summer.
Michael A. McAdams is vice president, employee relations for Ensereh Corporation in Dallas. He and his wife, Judith, live in Waxahachie with their daughter, Lauren, age 16. Mike travels in connection with his job - Europe twice and all over the United States. He once was invited to Louise Mandrell's bedroom (her hus- band was there). Quoting from the questionnaire Mike returned to us, ”Must have been the time we burned the bonfire before Ennis' homecoming. Later someone else went over and cut goal posts and destroyed some equipment. We really didn't do that, but have got- ten credit for it for all these years - and I know who really did it!”
Lloyd A. McCutchen is the pastor of Pleasant Glade Assembly of God Church in Colleyville. His wife, Toni, is a school teacher in the HEB School District. They have three sons, Loren, Darren and Kevin. Lloyd and Toni recently returned from Europe where they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Quoting from the ques- tionnaire Lloyd returned to us, ”Once when I was a freshman, some upper classmen made me wear a bow tie made out of toilet paper, and one britches leg rolled up - all day.”
Carolyn Co. Mason Richardson is property manager for Heritage Building of Dallas which manages Townhouse Apartments in Ennis. Carolyn has two daughters and three grandsons and has worked as a hairdresser , was in the funeral business, worked at a bail bond company in Galveston and in real estate and property management. Quoting from the questionnaire Carolyn returned to us regarding an amusing anecdote from high school, ”This question is hard, since I relate back to notes on last week's activities!”
Donna Matthews Boyd is a homemaker (she has three children and seven grandchildren c and works as bookkeeper and insurance per- son for John Compton, M.D. Donna and her husband, Walter, live in Waxahachie. Quoting from the questionnaire Donna returned to us, ”During biology class I contracted poison ivy, brought by two former and illustrious classmates, Dan Morton and Mike Hastings. I found out what happened while reminiscing 28 years later. What was so amusing was the biology teacher insisted it was not poison ivy while we were on the project of leaves.”
Skip Noel and his wife, Donna, live in a beautiful lakefront home in Waxahachie. They have a son, Mark, and a daughter, Brandy, who is a premed major at Baylor. Skip has been a Dallas fireman for twenty years. He would really appreciate your sending him any photographs of the reunion that you night have.. all of them!
Tommy Reed and his wife, Ann, live in Waxahachie. Tommy has a son, Kyle, and is national sales manager at Capital Industries (Red Fox athletic clothing) in DeSoto.
John F. Reglin is an engineer for Master Consultants (foundation inspection). He and his wife, Bette Carole, live in Plano and have eight children, Scott, Laura, Marcus, Rain, Andrew, Nathan, Joshua and Joseph.
Cherry Riley Browning is executive secretary for the CPA firm of Bailey Vaught Robertson R Company in Dallas. She has one son, Jeff, who is a senior at UNT in Denton. She divorced her son's father two weeks after Jeff was born. Jeff was raised in a dis- functional family by a sometimes dysfunctional single mother and he has turned out fairly normal. She has also had a successful career and worked for the same individuals for almost twenty- three years. Cherry says, ”...nothing exciting....I've just had a pretty good life....so far.” Quoting from her answer to the anecdote question, ”There was the time the bird 'pooped' on ne when I was entering the library with my sister (the bird missed Judy) for a piano recital. I cried and didn't play very well that day...Senior Day at Lake Whitney - but I'll not go into that.”
Ronald W. Simmons lives in Kingwood with his wife, Jackie. They have three children and two grandchildren. He is in sales for a casket company. Ronald remembers sneaking into school on Thursday nights with Robert Thompson.
V. Devon Smith is an engineer at General Dynamics. He and his wife, Diane, live in Crowley and have three children. He did not answer the anecdote question, citing his Fifth Amendment rights.
Jon Ed Smith lives in Tempe, Arizona, with his wife, Judy. They have three children Lezlie, Jonny and Ryan. Jon is a pro- fessional real estate associate with Russ Lyon Realty Co. in Mesa, Arizona. He says he has been hit with the same problems, pressures, addictions and mental conflicts over the years as a lot of people. They worked hard with professional and spiritual assistance and survived as a family. Quoting Jon's answer to the anecdote question, ”putting muscle massage balm in the 'jock' of Jan Beer - watching him dance after about 15 minutes of wearing it! Sorry, Jan.”
Jan Stephenson Armstrong is vice principal of Ponder Elementary School in Mansfield. She and her husband, Robert, live in Midlothian and have two children, Lisa and Donny. Their first grandchild, Chelsea Michele Hyles, was born August 1, 1992. Just after her daughter, Lisa, gave birth to Chelsea, Jan and her son-in-law, Scott, went out to eat. When the waitress seated them, Scott said, ”We just had a baby.” The waitress replied, ”She doesn't look like she just had a baby.” Scott then explained that Jan was his mother-in-law. Jan says that made her day!
Larry Stoffregen is director of publishing services with Southwestern Bell Telephone Yellow Pages. He is responsible for the completion of art work and advertisements for the Yellow Pages. Larry and his wife, Sally, live in Waxahachie. They have two children, Scott and Dennis, and a foster child, John. In remembering his favorite anecdote from high school, Larry cites a ”push-of-war” contest with students at SAGC over the possession of a four foot snowball during a March snowstorm in 1959 or 1960.
Nita Sweatman Jordan has just retired her music business of 21 years and now has her own travel agency. She and her husband, Steve, live in Katy and have five children, Julie, Chantel, Jill, Jana and Ryan. Three of the children have been in college at the same time for the past two years. The first of the five graduated last May and has a job!
Robert W. Thompson, who seems to be included in a lot of high school anecdotes of other classmates, could not come up with one of his own. He and his wife, Ginny, have a State Farm insurance agency in Boerne. He has two stepdaughters.
Boyd Thornton has been a funeral director and embalmer for the past 25 years and is now employed at Wilkirson-Hatch Funeral Home in Waco He was valedictorian of his mortician college in Houston in 1969. Boyd and his wife, Regina, live in Hewitt and have three children and one grandson.
Julia Williams Swain is a third grade teacher at Tomball ISD. She and her husband, Richard, live in Houston and have two children, Colleen and Steven. Julia says that they are a normal family which loves each other and at times would be willing to trade members in for any stranger on the street. Two of Julia's memories from high school days are sliding down the front stairs through the living room and knocking over the Christmas tree during a Christmas party at the family home, and John Reglin giving her a black eye by hitting a tennis serve. This occurred shortly before a big dance.
Nancy Williams England is an executive assistant at Lindsey Morden Claims Services in Dallas. She and her husband, Shelby, live in Waxahachie with their son, Charles. Nancy tells us that during the last year of her mother's life, they found a half-brother and half- sister of her mother. The half brother owns a hunting and fishing lodge in Seal Bay, Alaska.
Deana Wilson Evans has been a systems engineer at EDS for 21 years. She and her husband, Carroll, live in a log house in McKinney and raise Longhorns and Brangus cattle.
Barbara Wray Springer is branch manager of the Plano branch of First Interstate Bank. She and her husband, Stanley, have a daughter, Cindy, and two grandchildren, and live in Garland.
Lynn Allen lives in Reno, Nevada, and is a medical technologist in the Hematology Department of the medical laboratory at Washoe Medieal Center. She has been active in volunteer work in Reno, and during the opening ceremonies of the Reno Ronald McDonald House was chosen ”Volunteer of the Year.” Lynn says that she has always had a fond place in her heart for Texas and if any of us ever get out West please look her up.
Tonie Cashion Allard and her husband, Dan, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last year. They have three children, Adam, April and Alesha, and one grandson. Tonie and Dan have recently moved to Houston from Waxahachie. While in Waxahachie, Tonie worked as Chief Court Clerk for Ellis County Precinct 1.
Saundra Colleps South and her husband, Joe, have retired to Laguna Park. Saundra was a contract consultant for Brockway Standard, Inc. They have three children and three grandchildren.
Linda Crow Farmer is a buyer/planner for Larkin Products in Waxahachie and has been with Larkin for nineteen years. She and her husband, Robert, have two children, Sherri and Jerry, and two grandsons. Linda has never left Waxahachie to live somewhere else and cannot imagine doing so.
Dianne Hays Wood is an Internal Revenue Service Agent in Ft. Worth. She and her husband, Tommy, live in Weatherford. Dianne has five children and seven grandchildren.
Rick Williams and his wife, Sherry, live in Duncanville. They have two children, Lesley and Kelley, and one grandson, Jay. Rick is district manager for an insurance company in Dallas.
