Tour of the School and Revisiting the Float
Cherry Browning
The school doesn't look anything like the school we attended even the gym, where most of us were content just visiting and reminiscing.
Wright Studio photographed our group. Unfortunately, Tommy Griffin just missed the photo. I hope all of you agree that Mr. Wright did an outstanding job.
At Janet Tenery's direction, Larry Stoffregen encouraged (whistled) everyone to drive down to the float for a great photo opportunity.

The tour of the old high school was like hearing that your favorite teacher has passed away, it just wasn't the same. Heck, someone had taken my old parking place. There were too many changes, besides, I was upset they'd painted over all our names on the gym ceiling. How could such deeds of daring, courage, male bonding and extreme examples of youth's stupidity be erased with a paint brush? Alas, a great red badge of courage has been put to rest. The later photo session was fun. I felt like we'd done something important what with all the cameras and the calls of, ”one more.” Actually I was eyeing ”smoker's corner across the street, but I didn't want to let Janet know. I did get to meet with some old friends that I hadn't seen on Friday and wouldn't see again that weekend - Lloyd McCutchen and Julia Williams Swain.
Although it was the hardest thing to get everyone to do, the trip to where Tommy Almand had graciously stored the float became the best class photography session. This gave a chance for those not here on Friday to see the float, but also a chance for everyone to get all sorts of photos of the class. I think everyone seemed to enjoy it and I know I've seen some great pho- tos that were taken there. Actually, we had nothing planned for the afternoon, but many, including myself, didn't want to let go of everyone at that time. It was an excuse to spend more time with you and I hope that it wasn't too boring.
